Drink of the Season

Perhaps you'd noticed, but we are on a bit of a late spring hiatius. Expect occaisional updates in summer....

The Key Lime Rickey Press

The Q'punga Cocktail of the Week for
Summer 2007!

After Mother's Day brunch, we found ourselves at Champions, where Bobby introduced us to the Stoli Razz press: crisp and refreshing and perfect for a summer afternoon. It brought to mind the Barcadi O & soda drink that some of us were hot for a few summers ago. Then I recalled the blackberry vodka that Al had me taste several weeks back, and noticed an advertisement for Absolut Bluberry (or summat).

Then -- kismet / fate / karma -- on one of the countless Target trips I've endured since becoming a parent, I happened accross just the sort of tapped jug I've been hunting for a couple of years now, with the idea that I could do some home-infusing. And then, Mother's Day Night, my parents gave me -- I don't quite now why -- a Ziploc bag of Key Limes.

With a dash of the New England Rickey (cherry or raspberry soda with lime), I think I've hit on what I'm going do with all them key limes: Key Lime Infused Raspberry Vodka. Ask for it at all your summer's garden parties.
